Overview
Mark joined AHP as a partner in 2009 when Burnside & Lang, PC merged into Andrews Hooper Pavlik PLC. He began his accounting career in the construction industry before joining Burnside & Lang in 1978. With more than four decades of public accounting expertise, Mark brings a rare depth of industry insight to his practice, specializing in financial reporting and advisory services for entities in various industries. Mark is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning (CSEP), enabling him to offer comprehensive tax, succession, and estate planning strategies tailored to business owners and high-net-worth individuals.
Mark is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), Northeastern Michigan Estate Planning Council (NMEPC), and the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA).
Professional Education
Mark graduated from Saginaw Valley State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting.
In the Community
Mark is a member and past board member of the Midland Lions Club, current board chair of the Arnold Center Board of Directors, and a member of the Leadership Midland Alumni Association. Mark is treasurer of Midland County DARE and Charles W. Howard Santa Claus School, as well as a past recipient of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) Public Service Award for his significant volunteer efforts within the community.
