Internship

February 1 through April 15, 2023, 20 hours/week, no weekends required. Opportunity for an accounting student to gain real-world experience in a Michigan-based CPA firm. Engage in tax preparation for a variety of industries. A flexible, part-time work schedule of at least 20 hours per week to accommodate your school schedule while allowing you to participate during the busy tax season. Currently, we are working in a hybrid remote and in-person environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform entry-level tax procedures including work paper documentation and tax return preparation.
  • Conduct research and other assignments as needed.

 

Requirements

  • Basic Excel experience required.
  • Major/minor in accounting.

 

Training provided to learn the tax software and other processes involved in the tax return preparation. We provide two days of dedicated technical tax training to prepare our interns for the busy tax season.

We are seeking a highly organized administrative professional to join our Ann Arbor admin team! Candidates must be able to perform administrative tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced and electronic environment, with attention to detail and an aptitude for service. Currently, we are working in a hybrid remote and in-person environment. This position will be an in-person role to take care of daily administrative tasks and responsibilities in the office.

Responsibilities

 

  • Greets and assists clients, visitors, and guests.
  • Answers, screens, and directs phone calls to staff; takes messages and schedules appointments.
  • Receives mail, documents, packages, and delivers or distributes items.
  • Performs administrative and clerical support tasks.
  • Accurately and efficiently processes tax returns.
  • Accurately edits and processes correspondence.

  • Provide back-up support to other admin team members.

Requirements

 

  • 3+ years of recent administrative support experience.

Join our Finance Department

We are looking for a billing clerk to assist with the time and billing system firm-wide. Our billing clerk will review time report information for accuracy and compliance with firm policies and will prepare billing reports. Currently, we are working in a hybrid remote and in-person environment. This position will be an in-person role to take care of daily administrative tasks and responsibilities in the office.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the time and billing system firm-wide.
  • Reviews time report information for accuracy and compliance with firm policies.
  • Prepares billing reports.
  • Prepares and mails client invoices and statements.
  • Records collections against accounts receivable.
  • Processes payables and prepares checks for signature.
  • Relieve receptionist as needed. Answers telephone, direct callers, pages or transfers calls to personnel or to a voice mailbox if requested.

Requirements:

  • One year or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred three to five (3-5) years previous accounting or bookkeeping experience.

We are seeking an individual to join our team of accountants to provide various bookkeeping and financial accounting services to our clients in various industries. Experience in financial statements, payroll, monthly reports, quarterly payroll tax returns, and journal entries, using QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online or other financial software. Customer service and strong communication skills are important, along with exceptional bookkeeping abilities. Currently, we are working in a hybrid remote and in-person environment.

  • Assist with client communications.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business-related field is preferred.
