AHP Promotes Four to Partner Group

Andrews Hooper Pavlik PLC (AHP) is pleased to announce the following promotions within their organization. Effective January 1, 2019, Traci Belt, CPA, CRCM, CBA, Cory A. Lee, CPA, CVA, Jamie L. Rabe, CPA, and Gregory H. Soule, CPA, CISA, CISSP, CFE are being promoted to partner.

Traci Belt joined AHP in 2004 as a staff accountant in their Saginaw office. In her 14 years of accounting experience, she has earned the designations of Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), Certified Bank Auditor (CBA), and a Loan Review Certificate through the Bank Administration Institute.

As a leader in AHP’s financial institution niche, Traci provides external audit, internal audit, loan review, and compliance services to over 20 financial institutions throughout Michigan. She coordinates and leads AHP’s internal bank training seminars as well as customized trainings for clients and industry organizations.

 

She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Northwood University and a Master of Business Administration in Accounting from Oakland University.

 

Traci is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), MICPA Financial Institution Task Force, Banking CPAs, Michigan Compliance Officers Association (MCOA), and is a Community Banking Advisor Editorial Staff Member.

Cory A. Lee has over 20 years of public accounting experience, with both large and small CPA firms. In addition to a CPA, Cory is also a Certified Valuation Analyst. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience in providing tax, compilation and review, and business valuation consulting services to closely-held businesses, specializing in real estate and healthcare. He especially enjoys assisting his clients with tax and succession planning.

 

Cory joined the AHP team in 2017 as a senior manager in the Ann Arbor office. He is a graduate of Michigan State University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting. He also has a Master of Science in Finance and a Master of Business Administration from Walsh College. 

 

Cory is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA), MICPA Business Valuation and Litigation Support Task Force, and the MICPA Healthcare Task Force. Cory has been an author and discussion leader on a variety of accounting and valuation related topics.

Jamie L. Rabe has over 15 years of auditing, accounting, and financial reporting experience. She began her accounting career in 2003 after earning her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting degree from Northern Michigan University. She joined the AHP team in 2003 as a staff accountant in the Greater Lansing Office.

As an experienced audit professional, Jamie leads engagements for a diverse client base including not-for-profit organizations, state and local governmental entities, insurance companies, financial institutions, employee benefit plans, and closely-held businesses. Her service areas include financial statement audits, single audits, reviews, and compilations. She also performs peer reviews of other firms’ accounting and auditing practices. 

 

As a speaker at professional and industry-related events, as well as internal AHP trainings, Jamie has presented on various audit topics. She is the chair of AHP’s Audit Committee.

 

Jamie is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA). She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Capital Area United Way as Treasurer and Finance Committee Chair.

Gregory H. Soule has 12 years of public accounting experience, and in addition to a CPA, he is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).

 

Greg began his career at AHP as a staff accountant in 2006 upon earning undergraduate degrees in both accounting and music from Central Michigan University. He provides auditing, consulting, and IT services for financial institutions, manufacturers, governmental organizations, insurance companies, and not-for-profit organizations.  In addition to his audit role, Greg serves as AHP’s executive-in-charge of both information technology and consulting, overseeing AHP’s internal IT department and AHP Consulting.

 

As a frequent presenter to professional and industry organizations, Greg has presented on various topics related to emerging technologies, cybersecurity, internal controls, accounting and auditing standards, and forensic accounting.

 

Greg is a member of both the AICPA and the MICPA and is active on the MICPA’s Fraud Task Force as well as the Information Technology Task Force, where he previously served as Chair.  He is a member of several IT and fraud-related organizations, including ISACA, ISSA, and ACFE. He serves as chair of the Audit Committee and on the Board of Directors at St. Paul of the Cross Retreat and Conference Center and is also a member of the Finance Council at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Orion. He is also a member of the School of Accounting Advisory Board at CMU.
