AHP Makes Adjustments in Offices Amid COVID Pandemic

The spread of COVID-19 is affecting each of us and our sense of what we consider normal is changing every day.  At AHP, our concern is for our team, our clients, and the communities where we work and live.  We are proactively implementing steps to protect the greater good, while continuing to meet your tax and accounting needs.

Our Offices.   Effective today, most of our team members will begin to work remotely and our offices will be minimally staffed to achieve “social distancing.”

In addition, we are implementing CDC recommendations to protect those who are in the office. This includes reminders posted around all offices recommending regular hand washing with soap and water, elimination of handshaking, avoiding touches to the eyes, nose, or mouth, covering of mouths when coughing or sneezing, avoiding sick people, and staying home when feeling sick.  Additionally, we have placed hand sanitizer in high traffic areas and increased the cleaning of high touch surfaces, such as doorknobs, light switches, keyboards, frequently touched surfaces, etc.

Face-to-Face Contact. One of the things we enjoy most about public accounting is the interactions we have with our clients. However, we strongly encourage alternatives to in-person meetings through at least the end of April for the safety of our team and our clients.

You can easily share documents and information with us through:

  • Use of one of our secure, online portals. If you are a client that would like to set up an account or have questions about using AHP’s client portals, simply send an email to ahpinfo@ahpplc.com or call us at 1.888.754.8478.
  • Traditional mail to any of our nine locations

AHP clients are fortunate in that we have the technology in place that allows you to securely send and receive your financial documents without ever leaving the comfort of home or office. We have invested heavily in this technology that enables us to safely provide excellent client service without regard to physical location.

Instead of in-person meetings, we urge you to use virtual meetings, phone calls, and email. When an in-person meeting is required, we will work with you directly to ensure appropriate precautions are taken.

Tax deadline. You may have heard talk about the IRS announcing a new tax deadline. At this time, nothing has been confirmed. However, we will communicate updates on this matter, and any others affecting your tax or accounting needs, as soon as we hear them.

We value our business relationship with you and appreciate your trust in AHP.  Your well-being, and that of our valued team, will always come first. Good health wishes to you and yours.
