As communicated in our August email, an executive order was signed ending virtually all paper checks to and from the federal government effective September 30, 2025. Shortly before the deadline, the IRS issued a statement that their systems are not yet in place to be able to implement this order. They have phased out paper refund checks to individuals; however, they will continue accepting all existing payment methods, which includes mailed checks, until further notice. The IRS anticipates providing further guidance prior to February 2026.  We will continue to keep you updated with additional guidance as it becomes available.
