GREGORY H. SOULE

CPA, CISA, CISSP, CFE / PARTNER

Greg has more than 16 years of public accounting experience and provides a broad range of auditing, consulting, and IT services for financial institutions, manufacturers, governmental organizations, insurance companies, and not-for-profit organizations.  He leads AHP’s System & Organization Controls (SOC) practice and has performed SOC 1 and SOC 2 engagements.

Greg also serves as AHP’s executive-in-charge of both information technology and consulting, overseeing AHP’s internal IT department and AHP Consulting.  In addition to a CPA, he is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).

As a frequent presenter to professional and industry organizations, Greg has presented on various topics related to accounting and auditing standards, emerging technologies, cybersecurity, internal controls, and forensic accounting.

PROFESSIONAL HISTORY

Greg joined the AHP team in 2006 as a staff accountant. He was promoted to senior accountant, manager and senior manager before earning his position as partner in 2019.

PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION

Greg graduated Summa Cum Laude from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting) and a Bachelor of Science (Music).

OTHER ACTIVITIES

Greg is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) and is active on the MICPA’s Fraud and Information Technology Task Forces. He is a member of several other organizations, including the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), the Information System Security Association (ISSA), the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and the Michigan Government Finance Officers Association (MGFOA). Greg is on the Board of Directors and chair of the Audit Committee for St. Paul of the Cross Retreat Center. He is also a member of the Central Michigan University School of Accounting Advisory Board.
