Eric has more than 15 years of public accounting experience. His areas of expertise reside in commercial loan review, IT consulting, and tax. Eric provides these services to closely held businesses, financial institutions, manufacturing companies, and not-for-profits.
Eric joined AHP in 2007 as a staff accountant in their Grand Rapids office. Later that year, he was promoted to senior accountant, then to manager in 2011 and senior manager in 2015. He has earned the designations of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). In 2022, Eric became a partner.
Eric earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Science in Accounting from Grand Valley State University.
Eric is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (OSACA). He has presented for MICPA and West Michigan Area Financial Planners on topics such as auditing, cybersecurity, and tax law updates.
