| The
firm is happy to announce the following additions to our staff during
January:
Frankenmuth Tanya Lenhard will be transferring to the Frankenmuth office on January 2, 2001 to assist with the tax busy season and transition to other Frankenmuth clients. Tanya joined the Saginaw office upon graduation from Saginaw Valley State University in August 1999. Greater Lansing Harlan Goodrich will be returning to the Greater Lansing office on January 2, 2001. He was an intern last busy season and will be returning as a staff accountant. Harlan graduated from Michigan State University in December 2000 with a BA in Accounting. Elizabeth Connors will join the professional staff as a seasonal tax employee. She will work at the firm while she completes her Ph.D. in Accounting at Michigan State University. She anticipates graduation with her degree in May 2001. Elizabeth graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a Master’s degree in Accounting and also has a Bachelor’s degree in Politics from Mt. Holyoke in Massachusetts. Along with her educational pursuits, she has worked at a Big 5 firm in Boston for two years as a tax accountant. Elizabeth has been a Financial and Managerial Accounting Lecturer at MSU and Albion College while completing her doctorate program. Saginaw Kristin Lisowski, a recent December graduate from Central Michigan University, will be joining the Saginaw office on January 2, 2001. Kristin was an intern with the CMU audit on campus last fall. She graduates with a BSBA in Accounting. Cheryl Chasnis will join the Saginaw office in January as a seasonal tax reviewer. Cheryl has had over 15 years accounting experience in various businesses, to include a small CPA firm, small business and a financial institution. She is a CMU graduate. Cheryl will provide assistance with reviewing tax returns on a part-time schedule beginning on January 12, 2001. Derek Brewer will also join the Saginaw office as a seasonal tax staff employee. Derek is a student at Alma College and will complete his BA in May 2002. He has worked for H&R Block in the Mt. Pleasant and West Branch locations for two tax seasons. Derek will work part-time, beginning January 13, 2001, while attending college in Alma . |

| 7-Apr-01 | New 989 Area Code for Bay City, Frankenmuth and Saginaw offices |

Effective April 7, the area code for the Bay City, Frankenmuth and Saginaw offices has changed from "517" to "989." You have a grace period, until October 2001, during which you can still use either area code. After that time only the 989 code will work. To see if your telephone number is affected by the change, you can check out Ameritech's 517/989 prefix listing. This list breaks down the 517 and 989 area codes according to the three digit prefix of your telephone number. |

| 9-Nov-01 | Sue Crane Joins SVSU |
| Sue Crane has joined Saginaw Valley State University as its controller. Sue was a partner in the firm and had been with AHP for 16 years. Sue has tremendous knowledge and experience in college and university accounting and auditing--skills that she will continue to apply in her new position. In addition to auditing, Sue also served many of the firm's individual and organizational tax clients. Sue's commitment to the firm and her leadership served as positive examples for everyone within the firm. Although we will miss Sue tremendously, we wish her well in her new position. | |

| The firm is excited to announce two new partner promotions effective January 1, 2002. | |
| Gary joined our firm in 1995 after service in public practice with national firms. Gary specializes in individual tax, estate tax, and personal financial planning. He is also a member of LACO Financial Services, Inc., an affiliated financial services firm, and registered investment advisor. In that capacity, Gary is a registered representative with the independent brokerage firm, Raymond James, member NASD/SIPC. Gary will work primarily in our Greater Lansing office, but will continue to serve clients in Saginaw during a transition period. | |
| Roger has been with the firm and its predecessor since 1983. Based in the firm's Rochester Hills office, Roger concentrates his services in accounting and auditing with additional involvement in his client's tax areas. Roger's industry focus includes manufacturing, agriculture, governmental entities, not-for-profit organizations, employee benefit plans, and non-traditional engagements. | |
