Mark specializes in growth and succession planning for entrepreneurial organizations and their owners, with advanced knowledge of insurance and estate matters.

Professional History:

Mark joined the Lansing office of Ernst & Young in 1976 and was promoted to partner in 1987. In 1993, he joined with two other Ernst & Young partners to form Andrews Hooper Pavlik PLC and has been serving the Greater Lansing area since. Mark also serves as an outside director for Auto Owners Insurance Group.

Education:

Mark graduated from the Honors College at Michigan State University in 1976.

Other Activities:

Mark is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA). He has held numerous leadership positions serving as board chair or president of the Capital Region Community Foundation, Ele’s Place, the Haslett-Okemos Rotary Club, The Rotary Club of Lansing, The Rotary Club of Lansing Foundation, the advisory boards for MSU’s Wharton Center and the Department of Accounting and Information Systems, and MSU’s Broad College of Business Alumni Board. He has served as board member or treasurer of numerous other community organizations’ boards or volunteer committees. Mark is a board member of the Auto-Owners Insurance Group and Capital Community Angels, Inc.

Mark was paid a special tribute at the 2010 Entrepreneurial Awards of Greater Lansing for serving as chief judge since its inception in 1994 with the Founders Business Advocate award, and recognized as a recipient of the 2012 MSU Alumni Service Award from the MSU Alumni Association.
