Kim began his career at Ernst & Young and specializes in corporate and individual income and estate tax matters with substantial experience in tax planning activities. His clients include organizations and individuals from various industries including oil and gas, financial institutions, manufacturing, construction, retail, wholesale, and service.

Professional History:

Kim joined the Saginaw office of Ernst & Young in 1977 and was promoted to tax partner in 1990. In 1993, he joined with two other Ernst & Young partners to form Andrews Hooper Pavlik PLC. He has assisted clients with tax planning and compliance services, internal revenue service audit and appeals, mergers and acquisition issues, private letter rulings, inventory issues, and various other tax-related matters.

Education:

Kim graduated Summa Cum Laude from Central Michigan University in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.

Other Activities:

Kim is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), and is a graduate of the Saginaw Leadership program. He is a past chair of the board of the Saginaw Community Foundation, the treasurer of the Hartley Outdoor Education Center Foundation, and is a member of the Saginaw Valley Rotary Club. Kim serves on a variety of committees throughout the community as well.
