News Release: AHP Announces Promotions and Certifications

Andrews Hooper & Pavlik (AHP) is pleased to announce promotions and certifications for the following staff members:

Kimberly A. Beute has earned the title of Certified Bank Auditor (CBA). She joined the firm in 2004 and currently is a manager for the firm. Beute earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Western Michigan University. She is a member of the Board of Directors for the Building Owners & Managers Association of West Michigan (BOMA), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA). Beute is from Wayland and currently lives in Marne.

Matthew D. Beyer recently earned CPA certification. He joined the firm in January 2007 as a staff accountant and recently was promoted to senior accountant. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Coastal Carolina University and a master’s degree in financial reporting and assurance services from Michigan State University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA). Beyer is a native of Midland and currently lives in Saginaw.

Christopher S. Brown was promoted to senior accountant and has earned CPA certification. He joined AHP in October 2007 as a staff accountant upon earning a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Saginaw Valley State University. He resides in his hometown of Merrill.

Dean E. Brown was named Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP). Brown joined AHP in 2002 as an IT manager. He provides IT consulting services and performs IT audits and systems integrity testing for clients. CSSLP certification was developed to raise the level of software security throughout the global IT community. CSSLP is targeted to those who improve the security of all software as well as software developers. He is from Holt and lives in Freeland.

Estee M. Bowman has earned CPA certification and recently was promoted to senior accountant. Bowman interned at AHP in 2006 and joined AHP in January 2007 as a staff accountant upon earning a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Saginaw Valley State University. Outside of work she is a member of the United Way of Bay County’s Allocations Committee. She resides in her hometown of Bay City.

Jill M. Catterfeld also earned CPA certification. She started with AHP in October 2005 as a staff accountant and recently was promoted to senior accountant. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Central Michigan University. She is a member of the Birch Run-Taymouth Jaycees organization as well as the AICPA and the MACPA. She is from Frankenmuth and resides in Birch Run.

Andrea J. Dickerson was promoted to senior accountant and has earned CPA certification. She joined AHP in 2007 upon finishing an internship with the firm. Dickerson holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Aquinas College. Outside of work she volunteers for Junior Achievement. Dickerson resides in her hometown of Grand Rapids.

Alfred D. Dixon has been promoted to senior accountant. He joined AHP as a staff accountant in October 2006 upon completing an internship with the firm. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Northwood University. Dixon is from Saginaw and now lives in Midland.

Jim B. Hunsanger has been promoted to senior accountant and recently earned CPA certification. He joined the firm in October 2007 as a staff accountant. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Alma College. Hunsanger is from Lapeer and now resides in Okemos.

Sara N. Kollien has earned CPA certification. Kollien started with AHP as an intern and became a full-time staff accountant in 2006. She was promoted to senior accountant in 2008. She graduated from Northwood University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Outside of work, Kollien is a member of the Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce’s Heart of the Lakes Gala Committee. Kollien is from Alpena and currently lives in Commerce Township.

Eric A. Ryan was promoted to senior accountant and has earned CPA certification. He joined the firm in 2007 upon earning a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in accounting from Grand Valley State University. He is a volunteer for the United Way Schools of Hope program. Ryan is from Mount Pleasant and now lives in Grand Rapids.

Greg H. Soule has successfully completed the Certified Fraud Examiner exam, earning CFE certification. Soule joined the firm in October 2006 upon earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Central Michigan University. Outside of work he is a board member and webmaster for the Rochester/Auburn Hills Community Coalition and a new member of the Rochester Toastmasters. He is from Croswell and currently lives in Lake Orion.

Steve J. Yost has earned CPA certification. Yost joined the AHP team in 2008. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Western Michigan University. He is a volunteer for the In2Books Foundation. Yost resides in his hometown of Grand Rapids.
